Finally, it's not Nirvana
MTV claims Weezer is the Most Important Band of the Decade. The writer claims they made "indie rock" accessible to the masses, and inspired many to start their own bands. But hey, more importantly, Weezer helped millions of young kids perfect the art of being sullen and angsty, donning thick black rimmed glasses, and building up their collection of cardigans. Neato.

I applaud this wholeheartedly. Weezer doesn't get half the respect they deserve. I implore you to put on Pinkerton, listen to "The Good Life," and try to keep yourself from dancing around like an idiot in response to its desperate, sublime, glorious nature.
